The S5500 Zoom has a 4.23 million pixel CCD with an amazing 10x optical zoom lens. The lens provides a 35mm equivalent range of 37–370mm.

It also boosts VGA movie recording (640 x 480 pixel), multiple exposure modes, CCD–RAW format, ISO settings from 64-400, auto and manual focus controls, manual shutter speeds from 15 sec. to 1/2000 sec, F2.8 - F9 aperture, manual white balance settings, many flash modes, self timer, many shooting modes for different captures, Continuous shooting, B&W, Chrome and Standard colour modes. Powered by 4 AA batteries.

The majority of photo galleries on backdrops are taken with my Fuji. It was indeed a great camera to introduce me to photography. These higher priced compacts, packed with features that you wouldnt normally find, are a good way to take your photography a step further, without paying SLR prices.
